Homemade Vegetable Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 ready-made pizza dough or pizza base
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sweet corn
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F or 220°C.
  2. Place the pizza dough or base on a baking tray.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small border.
  4. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  5. Arrange bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, olives and corn evenly over the cheese.
  6. Add the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and chili flakes over the pizza.
  8. Brush the outer crust lightly with olive oil.
  9. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the crust becomes golden.
  10. Let the pizza rest for three minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Do not add too many vegetables, because the pizza may become soggy.
  • Pat watery vegetables dry before placing them on the pizza.
  • Use a preheated baking tray for a crispier crust.
  • Add jalapeños or extra chili flakes for a spicy version.
